"TIGER FIRE" Yooperlites Sphere – 2.2" Rare Linear Bands
Handcrafted by the Original Discoverer, Erik Rintamaki
Collector Price: $225
Introducing one of the most uniquely patterned pieces from my latest collection: "TIGER FIRE."
Expertly cut and shaped at my shop in Brimley, Michigan, this 2.2-inch (56mm) sphere features a highly unusual, beautifully structured layout of fluorescent Sodalite that you rarely see in Yooperlite stones.
Instead of the typical scattered spots or heavy blocks of color, the ultra-bright Sodalite clasts in this stone form distinct, linear bands. When hit with a longwave UV light, these fiery orange streaks slash across a deep, dark Syenite matrix, mimicking the fierce and beautiful stripe pattern of a tiger.
