This is a natural semi precious gemstone known as a Lake Superior agate. This was obtained from the Moose Lake Gate show in July 2024 by Erik Rintamaki. These gemstones are getting harder and harder to find especially off the shores of Lake Superior. This agate was originally found in Minnesota. It is natural and unpolished. It has been cleaned and oiled to give it a wet look and dry feel to the touch. You can own this absolutely stunning Lake Superior agate today!
This was found by the lighthouse keeper at Crisp Point lighthouse on Lake Superior back in the 1970s. These agates are referred to as E.U.P for Eastern Upper Peninsula. This agate has been cut on the bottom and makes it great for display as it sits very nice. Without the cut this would be much more expensive.
EUP agates are known for an excellent smooth waterwash (natural beach tumble). This is a very silky smooth natural waterwashed feeling stone.
