About this experience

A Superior expedition along the Upper Peninsula's shores of Lake Superior await you! Erik Rintamaki is offering a very limited number of guided tours during the month of July.

In addition to the tour you'll get your very own Yooperlite UV light and accessories, UV glasses, 3 small Yooperlites along with a signed article from the Mineral News (a $75 value!) to keep. Not only is there a very good chance you'll find a Yooperlite of your own, you'll also have memories to last a lifetime.

Location description

Meet at campsite by 9pm. The approximately 2 hour guided tour may run longer in order to take advantage of the darkness to find Yooperlites.

There may be up to an 10 mile drive from our meeting point at the Winter Haven Motel (23879 Co Rd 407, Newberry, MI 49868) at 9pm, north of Newberry, MI. Disclaimer: You must be physically capable & able to walk on uneven terrain. There is very limited cell phone service along Lake Superior.

Proper footwear (hiking or muck boots)

Location details

Meet at campsite by 9pm. The 2 hour guided tour runs from 9:30 pm - 11:30 pm during July in order to take advantage of the darkness to find Yooperlites.
