This is a 2.6 inch Yooperlites sphere made by Mr. Yooperlites himself Erik Rintamaki! Starting out with a natural Yooperlite straight from Lake Superior in Michigan, Erik found this stone in 2018. He then cut it and ground it to shape by hand into a snowball shape, he then used a 3 wheel sphere machine to make it into a perfectly round ball. Then Erik hand polished this Yooperlite sphere to a mirror finish.
This sphere weighs 14.6 ounces! Almost a pound and is a little smaller than a baseball. This sphere looks great in daylight but comes to life under 365nm filtered longwave uv lighting!
Don't let this one get away as Erik only makes a few dozen spheres by hand each year!
